6What are some of the common red flag symptoms suggestive of Paediatric Surgical emergency?
  • Severe abdominal pains associated with fever and vomiting
  • Green vomitus-a surgical emergency until proven otherwise
  • Vomiting or passing blood per rectum (including jellylike stool mixed with blood)
  • Groin or umbilical swelling and redness associated with vomiting and not passing stool

7How do payments work?
In room consultations are billed to you directly, where you can either EFT or make use of the in-room card machine. This can then be claimed back from the medical aid depending on the specific medical aid plan or agreement In Hospital treatment gets billed to your medical aid directly. 8How long before an operation should my child stop eating?
