Soft Tissue Infection
Cuts, tears, or scrapes in the skin can allow bacteria to enter, resulting in an infection known as cellulitis. Staphylococci (Staph) and streptococci (Strep) bacteria, common in healthy people, are the most common causes of the infection. Cellulitis can be treated successfully with antibiotics in many cases, even if the symptoms are mild. A severe case of cellulitis, on the other hand, can spread throughout the body. If the infection is accompanied by fever, rapid deterioration of skin changes, other signs of progression, or if you have other medical conditions, such as diabetes, you should seek immediate medical attention from Dr MJ Human.
Abscesses
An abscess is a hard, infected wall surrounded by a collection of pus. Abscesses can form when bacteria, fungi, and other germs enter an open wound or the tissue beneath the skin. It is possible for your child's body to develop an abscess in any part. To drain the pus from the abscess, Dr MJ Human may need to cut a small hole in the skin. Using gauze to keep the wound open and draining as a precaution may be a good idea. Your child may need antibiotics. You should make an appointment with Dr MJ Human to ensure that the infection has been completely eliminated.
Soft Tissue Masses
Finding a mass on your child is a terrifying experience. In children, soft-tissue masses are a diverse group of lesions. Many different types of tumours can develop in the body, including benign and malignant neoplasms. Lipoblastoma is a benign tumour that grows slowly, whereas desmoid tumours and extra-abdominal fibromatosis are more aggressive. The sooner you get your child to Dr MJ Human, the sooner he can begin treating them.
